Here we go!
Okey, my computer's run out of battery and I forgot the adapter home in sweden and until the one I've ordered gets here - I can't use it...that also means that I don't have access to the swedish tap board so I'll do this post in english.
So, today was the third day of school and so far everything feels great. The people here are so nice and friendly and makes you feel welcome right away.
The first day we went to school I was so exited to go with the school bus (my american brother thought that was kinda weird though). I felt that it would be so cool to ride with the bus you always see in the american movies and it actually was pretty fun - I still think so. The first day we had some kind of start in the chapel where the principal talked for a while, presented the new students welcome to school and blahblahblah. Then we went to class. The classes are SO different here then they are in Sweden. Each class is about 35-45 minutes and there is no breaks between the classes which means you have to carry all your books with you for the first 4 classes. Here you also get the chance to choose exactly which classes you want to take,so you've got different classmates in every class. Another thing that's different is that every school day is from 8am to 3.30 pm and after that you've got sports - if you choose to participate in one. ( They have tryouts for every sport ) The sports are divided into four seasons; winter, spring, summer and fall so you choose different sports in every season. In the fall I do dance, in the winter I'm thinking about taking basketball and in the summer I will tryout for the soccer team.
Tomorrow there is some sort of game they call "the Olympiads". They have divided the upper school into 6 (maybe 7?) different teams who will compete against each other in different competitions like crab soccer and quiz.
Now I need to do my homework but I'll try to do a post tomorrow - hopefully from my computer...
